Pangolin Scales Seized in Guangzhou, China  

Guangzhou, China, 12 July 2010 - On 12 July 2010, Guangzhou Customs released the latest seizure that 136.38 kg of pangolin scales  were seized in Guangzhou Customs Post Office. These scales were from Malaysia and packed into 10 sacks. They were declared as food (Black fungus) and would be sent to the local sea food market and TCM wholesale market in Guangzhou. So far, this case has been transferred to the anti-smuggling bureau of Guangzhou Customs for further investigation.
